We beat the game for the…well I’ve lost count. With Eye of Eternity Heroic now cleared, as of Wednesday November 19th 2008, Impervious is the 8th US Guild to complete all Wrath of the Lich King Heroic raid content. It’s a bit disappointing that it took less then a week to clear all the expansion raids but we got our fingers crossed for some real challenges in Ulduar. Until then, it’s epic farming and Death Knight leveling.

Well it’s that time again, the raids of our lives continues as Impervious ploughs through the 70 to 80 grind and impressively cleared Heroic Naxxramas in the same week as the expansion release; Kel’Thuzad slain on Monday November 18 2008. It seems like only a few days ago we were clearing our last Sunwell raid in preparation to hit 80 asap. Now with Naxxramas on farm (again), in the span of a day, we have our eyes set to The Eye of Eternity Heroic. Malygos will be dead in a few days leaving us with nothing but farming upgrades.

Some upgrades are bigger than others. Congratulations go to our own level 80 Death Knight Azsh on the 2-Hand Axe.

I’d also like to take this time to congratulate the Impervious members who were the first level 80s on Stormreaver, Hothgor: Realm First 80 and 80 Shaman, Axla: Realm First 80 Paladin, Fatyx: Realm First 80 Mage, Enzyme: Realm First 80 Warrior, Velveteen: Realm First 80 Druid, Jider: Realm First 80 Rogue and Entrop: Realm First 80 Priest.

We walked in on our off-day with nearly all our raiders from the previous raid and one shot the mother fucking bitches with 1 minute to spare on the enrage. Absolutely fucking flawless kill. I’ve never seen this guild go balls out like this since our fucking U.S. 2nd C’Thun kill. Excellent fucking job fellas.

It’s all over, until the Sunwell. It’s not a first by any means but we had a rough ride to get here. Big congratulations goes out to everyone who stuck with it and congrats to those who got all there sweet sweet purples. Now all that’s left is to farm up for the Sunwell, then it’s time to stop Slacking and get some firsts. See you then.

Impervious vs Illidan

Just two days into the raid week and Reliquary of Souls has been added to the Impervious kill roster. Two encounters away from Illidan, we are all looking forward to fighting Mother Shahraz this week.

As we run our path through The Black Temple we really haven’t met an encounter that we didn’t like. Bloodboil is no different. The encounter is pretty simple but the randomness of who tanks is what keeps us on our toes. With Bloodboil down that brings us three bosses away from the Emo-rific Lord Illidan.

The waves are finally over; Archimonde is defeated by the wisps known as Impervious. Overall most of us pretty much hate the design of this instance and I’m pretty sure we are not alone. The important part is that it’s all said and done, and with it comes the farm status of gearing the guild up with more shiny T6 purples! With all those upgrades we should be prepared soon.

After the thrilling, exciting, extremely challenging Mount Hyjal trash wave clear, (Sarcastic? Just a bit) Azgalor ran out of prepaid game time and will be back next week. Archimonde is all that’s left for Impervious to fully clear Blizzard’s amazingly epic and exciting instance.

We started off the night with, the first encounter durr, High Warlord Naj’entus. Reused models sure are amazing but I’m not sure what the hell is up with this guys arms and face. Anyway after our raid got the formula for success in there head (Sharp stick + Bubble = Pop), the fight was won and the purps delivered.

Next up, Supremus. Not much to say about this fight except that it seemed like a “Thanks for making it into the Black Temple, here have some loot.” encounter. No one’s complaining thou!

And to end the night, guess what, more free loot. This time I literally mean free loot. Shade of Akama bugged out on us and started off in the last phase. Our DPS blew that sh*t up, daym! In all seriousness thou, we had the fight down from testing it on the PTR so a weekly performance is to be expected. We are thankful since it helped to push us along to see other encounters.

Ok so I’m a little behind on the news, time for a mass update on what’s been going on for the good guys at Stormreaver. After a lot of time, two attempted suicides and one return of a no show, Kael’thas Sunstrider has finally been defeated by Impervious. The encounter put a lot of stress and pressure for most of the guild officers but it paid off in the end. Not only are we free to explore the rest of the “new” content but the loot was a decent pay off for all the time spent.

Behold the Ashes of Al’ar, in the history of Impervious I think this is the first time a first kill has actually dropped something pretty amazing. Jhasa was seen later that night surrounded by the entire population of Shattrath. A big hand goes out to all those that kept with it and finally came through with the kill. Now, onto the free loot.

The hit list doesn’t miss its mark as Lady Vashj has been defeated by Impervious. It took a lot of dedication and commitment, even a little music, but the night paned out for the better. Here’s how it went down.

After many solid runs to get through the stages we knew we were getting close but she just kept slipping away. We even how to have our own official 1% raid wipe.

But then an act of pure genius! With the help of an epic diagram we got the boost we needed and knew that soon we would be rollin in the purps. Like so many final raid dungeons before it, the diagram was Impervious’ symbol of hope.

Then it all came together in Impervious style as a near flawless Lady Vashj defeat. We kept our cool and executed with perfection. SSC is now part of another chapter in Impervious’ Raids of our Lives.

Kael’Thas’s pet Phoenix is no more. It took some getting used to but the encounter was easily handled after getting a bit more organized and a better balanced raid into Tempest Keep. This leave Kael’Thas open for business and of course it won’t be long till we put him down too. Next up on the hit list, Lady Vashj.

Congrats goes to Guide on finally retiring the Naxx cloak for Phoenix-Wing Cloak and Tranqfx on Band of Al’ar.

High Astromancer Solarian defeated by Impervious. After a few days of learning and getting ready for the fight, we came through with another boss dead in The Eye. Now all that’s left is Al’ar before we move onto the legendary fight of Kael’thas Sunstrider.

Congrats goes to Evangelakis on Ethereum Life-Staff and Congreve on Girdle of the Righteous Path.

GM Death Touched it at around 30% or something.

On we go to the next boss, the demon Anetheron! The fight was a very fun fight but the GM pushed us to move on. *sadface*

Off we went towards the Horde Base fighting along side the Horde Warchief, Thrall and his beastly wolves!

Before we attempted anything, our little buddy decided to drop us a little token of appreciation.

We faced another challenging encounter, Kaz’rogal, another version of good ol’ fucking Kazzak.

On our 2nd attempt with only 23 people…

He dropped a sweet swirling purple dildo that made the females in our guild (cough Velveteen cough) dripping with moisture in her undies (don’t hurt me!). Here’s a screenshot of the sex toy.

So off we went to the next and final boss for the night, Azgalor.

Well to say the least, we were left dumbfounded on its aggro control because it was pretty fucked up. So we decide to take a quick second to ask the GM and he responds…

Thus.. we called it a night.

After what felt like 4 hours of trying to fish up the fucking thing.. The Lurker Below finally decided to come out and play. On a side note — Congratulations to Thirdeye getting rezzed in the water and dying.. twice!

We’d like to congratulate Nihilum on a World First Lady Vashj, you guys definitely deserve it for bashing your heads over and over on a brick wall(and for the beta testing <3). There's only a couple guilds in the United States that have an opportunity at a U.S. First on Lady Vashj. Impervious definitely has their eyes set on this goal and we'll continuously bash our heads on it too.

After a 1% heart-breaking attempt on Leotheras last week, we came back to a fresh new instance reset to clear his fucking trash again. This time, Impervious came to finish the job. After ripping him a new one, Leotheras decided to drop… MORE TRASH

On a brighter note, Morogrim decided to drop something other than Serpent-Coil Braid for a change. Grats Shadowskills on his new weapon, The Untamed Bla…. err.. Talon of Azshara!

With Magtheridon down, Impervious can now venture into the lair of Kael’thas. The loot was again subpar, but isn’t that what we’ve all come to expect by now?

After working on Magtheridon for a while, we returned to Serpentshrine Cavern to pick up where we left off. 10 hours of fighting trash and 1 hour of fighting bosses later, Morogrim Tidewalker and Fathom-Lord Karathress were taking dirtnaps. Congrats to Slacker on the server first tier 5 and all the other winners. Leotheras, Lurker, and Magtheridon kill shots will be coming shortly.

On a side note, we are looking for a few new recruits, please check out the “Recruitment” section at the top. We also have put up a new section on our forums for herb trading. This fight has made quite a dent in our bank space.

40 minutes after Kazzak took a nose dive, Impervious ventured in and one-shot Gruul 2.0. I believe this is a world 3rd(?) for the Gruul 2.0, but this is mostly a timing thing, so who knows. Grats none-the-less!
